What kind of store is Albies? Is that Boise slang for Albertsons? Looks like you got a lot of dough for just a little dough. Way to go. You're Mom's coupon counterpart.
I have to laugh at John's comment because I believe not so long ago I had to know what the heck Albies was too. Anyways good job. Sounds like you will have the yummiest food storage on the block. Lucky kids.
Go Jen! You are a Marne in the making.
My mom is a big couponer and did about the same thing you did yesterday. I score occasionally, but have discovered that most of the big scores involve things that add pounds to my butt, plus I already stocked up on cake mixes the last big sale and have yet to use one! Couldn't they make coupons for produce!! I hope cake mixes last 10 years as food storage!!
Lyric your exactly right - they aren't the healthiest things to store that's for sure! I would love to stock up on produce as well! To bad it doesn't store well! At least if the world all goes down in a blaze - my kiddos will be happy and smilin with brownie in hand! HEE HEE!
So I guess dessert is at jens for the next 6 months. can you really feel good about a disater if all you have to eat is sugar. well at some point someone has to send a comment that is truthful. that aint food storage sista thats a sugar fix at a slammin price.
Nice job Jen!! My favorite place is Sunflower market- Here are some of their recent deals (I'm not makin this stuff up): Pineapples 4 for $5.00 (that's $1.25 per pineapple!),Gala apples 29 cents a lb, avocados 6 for $1, Tangelos, Red grapes 88 cents per lb, On the Vine beefsteak tomatoes 79 cents per lb, Navel Oranges 6 lbs for $1.00.The best part is their fruit is always the best we've eaten!! Worth the weekly trip to Orem. I too wish produce kept longer, but at least the garage is still nice and cold.
You the betty crocker bomb now cough up how do we do this thats like 60 cents for a brownie mix. Look when the house falls down around me and the church is on fire were gonna need some comfort food. AND if you stored only red wheat and potatoe pearls theres a point you would swap out 50 lbs of anything for a brownie. Im just sayin. thats leverage you got there
Everyones comments are so funny. Good job on getting a deal. Invite me over when you start baking.
When can I move in? :)
Wow! Impressive. Wendy would want you to find coupons for carrots and wheat bread though! Hey, spread the word, I finally joined the blogging world after the example of my wife! My site is //athornamongroses.blogspot.com
