OHHHH Valentine!!!

Ok, I admit it. I have been non stop crafting for a week and a half now and all I can think about is Valentines decorations. I know i'm crazy but I'm having some good clean fun. Actually I dyed my fingers red and got lots of glue stuck to my poor dry hands but it was GOOD fun! I love the captured hearts in the bird cages and my most favorite thing so far is the Subway Art. Pottery Barn has Subway Art -not Valentine Subway Art but Subway art. I recently found this blog that I LOVE that did a tutorial on Valentine Subway Art and I just couldn't resist! Here's the link to the tutorial. http://tatertotsandjello.blogspot.com/2010/01/valentine-subway-art-tutorial-with-pdf.html When i take these ones down I think I'm just gonna make a random family one. Also, my old Navy Blue frames have needed a makeover for quite some time and so I fixed them up with some good ole modge podge, fabric & scrapbook paper. I LOVE THEM! I fill so good when I create things - don't you. Make something today. Even if it's just dinner.

Love you, JEN

Unconnected Thoughts

I know, I know I haven't been bloggin as often as usual but I have had a great excuse. Mr. Googer has had an ear infection every month and sometimes twice a month for the last 8 months and this last one well he's had for over 3 weeks and it won't go away - thus he will be getting tubes put in his wee little ears on Feburary 8th. Anyhow, here's some thoughts that I have been having run through my mind lately.

*Sisters were assigned to each other with great thought. What I mean is we each have areas of greater strength than our fellow sisters have and we can help each other out in their areas of need. I have had my cupboards organized and OH they are lovely, I've had wonderful food cooked for me and I've had tradsies and a listening ear - those are the most recent. I have loved every minute of it and appreciated it sooo much.

*I am raising God's Army - that is what you are doing when you have children. That's the way I like to look at it. It helps me be a better Mom.

*Prayer is a powerful source for good. It heals babies bottoms, ceases the pain of infected ears, & would you believe that it even curbs sugar cravings. Well , it does!

*Give A Day - Get A Day - I'm totally doing it. In fact I already signed up and I will be done with my blanket making service project by the end of this month and then Disney will award me with free tickets to Disneyland. I know , I know, I just went but that is how it goes. You don't go for 16 years and you somewhat forget and then you go and you just get the itch. I wanna go with all of you - so Give A Day already.
*My house is never real clean - Never!

*My Father-in-Law is cute & kind- even in a sombrero!

* Managed to make Paige a new dress.

* I miss my Christmas decorations!

* I read Nie and if you don't you are missing out.

*I bet it's overwhelming to have 6 kids & two of them being baby twins. Molly you are awesome - I think about that alot!
* I love American Idol - I don't watch any other shows - none but I love the Idol American.
* I can never produce enough scrub caps they always want More MORE MORE!

*I need some ideas for the Relief Society Birthday Dinner - Anyone ANyone
*Diets are hard but not unbareable. Man I could go for a Cold STone or a Cobb Salad.

*My husband is sooo skinny! He looks so young and so handsome and I think he is amazing and strong. Love you babe!

*I love to double coupon & I really love to double coupon with the other Jen Holyoak. She is organized and helpful and I love her. Thanks for all your help Jen - you're good to me
*I'm busy and unorganized - not a good combination.

*I'm giving myself till Feb 15th - Jared's birthday to stock my etsy shop with my own creations. STay tuned for my latest in headwear for girls - young and old.

*My kids know more about the scriptures then I do - they understand them better.

*I give the Spelling test to the Fourth graders on Thursdays and I love to volunteer.

*I need a new bra- this ones challenged.

*I could quite possibly have more fruit snacks and toothpaste than my local Albertsons.

*I loved seeing my brother-in-law sealed to his parents - that was a great moment.

Alright , I'm done but there's more - so much more. Another time
Love you!

Birthday Smirthday!

Before I say anything I want to say that my husband is a lovely person and that he did everything - everything on my birthday. Dishes, Kids, meals, hugs, kisses, showering me with love!

Now I will tell you that my birthday wasn't that great! My kids were sick, I was tired and didn't get out of my jammies all day. We were broke as a joke and that's no JOKE. That's the beauty of an after Christmas birthday. I'm not gonna lie - I cried a little.

Now I don't want a pity party - no I really don't! The next day I was totally fine and happy and thought that I was ridiculous for having cried on my birthday especially because what I did have for my birthday was a husband who loves me and did everything for me, family who called and sang to me - even brother-in-laws sang. WOW! Friends who wished me a happy birthday and I got older and it didn't even feel it. That's something !

So, I'm over it but I just wanted to document that I had a bad day but no big and I'm looking forward to going out to dinner and movie with my hubby and if I'm real lucky with my sisters and their hubs - this weekend! MOl - Ter what do ya say!

Love you all!
Jen the 34 year old
