My brain has been just a jumbled, bumbled mess this last weekend. I have spent an entire weekend crying
alot, laughing quite a bit and just staring with my mouth open in amazement as I watched my beautiful sister-in-law Felicia get baptized by my little brother J.P. My favorite moment was when they opened the doors to the font and they were both already in there and were crying. I loved watching the two very humble
missionaries share with us what they knew to be true. I cried when I turned around and saw my
Brity girl who had just returned from her mission 2 days earlier and she was just listening to those missionaries and crying her pretty little eyes out. I knew that her heart hurt because she had left the people she has grown to love but that she had gained an amazing testimony of the gospel. I giggled at my beautiful nieces Kate & Becca and I knew that they were
definitely a whole lot Anderson. Wow their voices are amazing - talented girls. I loved hearing my parents share their
thoughts about this special day and just re-confirming that I have been born of goodly parents who love the Lord. I'm so excited for Felicia and all that is to come for her. I love you Felicia. Thank you for your shining example, you are beautiful inside and out.
As I mentioned above this weekend was two fold, my darling niece Britney returned from her mission to the
Philippines. I missed her. I couldn't stop hugging on her and petting her long shiny hair and begging her to talk to me in
Tagalog. She put up with all of my ridiculousness. She spoke to us about her mission on Saturday night at my Ma and Pa's house. We found out she had several stalkers (doesn't surprise me , she is a beauty and her smile is very beckoning) That she had her hair ripped out by a monkey who was after her headband. She shared her testimony with us in
Tagalog at the request of many but mostly her mother and it was amazing just simply amazing. She was the same silly, beautiful girl she has always been but there was
definitely something more and I just love her. She and Livy gave wonderful talks on service at church the following day.
Mom and Dad and Aim and I and our girls all went to our old
Burley 9
th ward and it was
sooo much fun to see all of our old friends and to see Guy Redder preside as bishop. I love our old friends they will always be some of my dearest friends and greatest memories.
I have realized while reading all of my family members blogs that I am not the gifted writer that most of them are. My thoughts come out all jumbled and not real eloquent and often spelled wrong. It's probably actually really hard to read my blog or follow my thoughts. At any rate I felt that way this weekend , I wanted to just grab Felicia and tell her how much I love her and admire her and how I think that she is strong and wonderful and how blessed I feel to have her in our family. We love our brother and she compliments him so wonderfully. I wanted to tell Miss
Brity that I am so proud of her (I think I did tell her that ) and that while the people of the
Philippines would have loved to have kept her we would not have let her stay because we love her and have missed her so much. I am amazed at her testimony and at such a young age. I just love you
Brity come see your Aunt Jenny. I need to squeeze you up. I also wanted to tell various people of the 9
th ward how they have influenced my life for the good and that I think of them often if not daily. I looked out Wendy's kitchen window and thought to myself , I could live here again. I could! I love farm people! They are hard working , real people! I want to be that kind of person.
I want to be more like these "Real" people, like Felicia, like
Brity!
I love having such good people around me influencing me for the better!
I'm done!
Love you!
Jen
