Talent Comin Out the WAZOO!

Ok so we all know that Em is talented but come on folks! Seriously, this just makes me giddy! You know what I mean. I called Em last night because I needed to make an invite for my wards Visiting Teaching Conference - i'm the enrichment leader. Anyhow, I joked with her that all I could come up with was changing the font to Sans Serif and Underlining the title. She happily agreed to help me out and what she sent me back was way way better than I ever imagined. Not that I didn't think she was capable but I just told her it was no biggie and I just want a little something. HOLY MOLY! OH and take note that my ward is the Meridian 13th ward - she made that look like it was the pattern number -amazing! Ok Em I'm done talking - I know how you hate this but girl you've got talent comin out the WAZOO! By the way the colors are very off - for some reason when I uploaded to my blog it totally changed the colors. Trust me they are wonderful colors.

I'm Losin It!

Alright, so here's the story. After I had my little Gavin babe I had an IUD put in (birth control). Well, apparently a very rare side effect is that your hair might fall out. True story - mine is falling out -tons of it. So I know what your thinking (Jen you don't have any hair to lose). I KNOW!! So after growing my hair out for my hubby (sorry babe) yesterday my friend cut 5 1/2 inches off my hair to add some body. Man do I feel better. Short hair makes me feel like my face is even fatter -how nice for me! Anyhow I had the IUD taken out so hopefully my hair will stop falling out soon. Otherwise my new twinner is Johnny Boy! Now I just have to figure out how to pay for my $800.00 device that I only had for 2 months! Darn it! So, here's to male pattern baldness - yay!

I'm In Love!

I don't want this to sound bad but sometimes you forget that you love your husband and just how incredibly cute he is. I mean down right cute! I love you Jared your soooo gorgeous. Sparkly eyes, happy smile, great hair. We won't go further because I have to talk more about this guy on his birthday which is comin right up. Gavin you look like your Dad - HOW LUCKY!!! I'm in Love!

Do you "See" what I See?

Yup this just proves it - she's my girl! Bad vision runs in the fam I guess! Hers isn't to bad but she is young. She is absolutely thrilled to wear these , that will wear off in time! In about 2 years I expect her to be begging for contacts! Oh my Paigey girl I didn't think you could possibly get any cuter but I was wrong! I love you my 20/50 girl!

Boo Boo Day - Where are you girl?!

Happy Birthday Em!

Just a few things about this girl on this her 25th year!

*Emily is a track star - it didn't start when she started track however - she was running on all fours since she was a little thing. I'm sure she could beat me in a race - I on my two feet and her on all fours.

*Emily looks best in sponge rollers. I have about 100 different pictures of her with one common theme - sponge rollers. What was going on here - I'm not sure!

*Emily is an artist extraordinare - it didn't start in school though she was an artist when she was little. I remember one day in church she drew a picture of a cartoon bird and I quickly handed it down to Dad. He asked me if I drew it because none of us could believe that she did it. Dad still has that picture to this day - I know because I have all of the old collectings of Dad at my house.

*Emily is modest - I'm not talking about dressing modestly - although I'm sure she doesn't let it all hang out either. Maybe the word is humble - at any rate - I'm sure you've noticed that when you compliment her on her artwork she is most likely to say " Oh Jen, that old thing , it's horrible." Whatever Em - your amazing!!!

*Emily is happy for others - like Johnny Boy said in his post she is always so happy for others when they have done well or got themselves something outrageous like a McLauren blah blah blah (forgot the name J.P.). Anyhow, what a nice trait Em!

*Emily is grateful and doesn't want anyone to make a fuss over her. We had her and Shawn for Christmas this year. She called me to say ," Oh Jen just send me a card and picture of the kids for Christmas" HUH! She didn't want me to make a big deal over her.

Emily you may have come last but somehow you got all the good genes. Tall and slender, beautiful red hair, brains, talent, great listening skills - Need I say more!

Oh Boo I wish you didn't live so far away. I miss you more just knowing that. Happy Birthday my sistern I love you ooddles!

The Zander Show !!!!

*Zander: "Momma, if that air blow (air bag) comes out will Jesus have to fix my cute little body?"

*We set up Gavin's crib finally in Zanders room and this is Zander the entire time we were setting it up.
Zander: " Don't do this to me guys, Oh please don't do this to me guys!" After about 7 times of him saying this I say," don't do what son?" He says, "will I have to go back to little?" Light bulb finally comes on - he thinks we are going to put him back in the crib! "Don't worry son it's not for you, I need you to take care of Gavin now in your room." "OOOOOHHHHH, don't worry Mom if Gavin cries I'll just say don't cry Goo I'll get momma."

*Zander: " Get me my coffee" - "We don't drink coffee son" - "Oh then I'll have some orange juice" Mind you he said it just like a mad boss and he had just stumbled out of bed!

*Right after family prayer I say to Zander "Son where do you want to go on your mission when you get big?" Zander, "I want to go on a mission to get pancakes and food." Jared says," do you want to go to IHOP or a mission!" and then nothing but loud laughter from the girls! LOL!!

I love this boy he is definately entertaining!

4 months Today!

Guess who's 4 months old already! Yeppers - BABY GOO!! Now I don't have his stats for you because the pediatrician froze the meds for the shots and thus we didn't go in to get weighed and measured but I do know that he weighs at least 15 lbs. This baby is such a happy little guy. He never well hardly ever cries. He is giggly and talkative and he fits right in with the rest of my giggly, talkative, very happy children. Most people think he looks like Zander the most but I think he really , really looks like Miss Anna. He sleeps through the night and has since he was 2 weeks old. Anna refers to him as "Love Dove" and I think it is fitting of him. I put some 6 to 9 month clothes on him yesterday and he fits in them but I guess that's no big surprise. I wonder if babies who come weighing nearly 10 lbs ever slow down or they always just stay ahead of the pack. Oh well, it makes no difference to me - I adore this little guy and I just can't stop kissin him. Happy 4 month-iversary Gavin boy.

Food Storage Fun!!! Are you IN?

Hi All, I found this great website to help us all get excited about food storage. It has ideas for planning, shopping and cooking with your food storage. I'm excited to get my food storage really built up this year and just hope I can find some more space somewhere in my house. Right now we have beds up on blocks, chairs sat on the diagonal to hide food storage and coat closets that have been turned into food storage closets. YIKES!! So, today is my 33rd birthday. Whew, I can't believe I'm 33 but it feels no different than 32 or even 30 for that matter. It's been a wonderful day and my hubby got me Photoshop Elements 7 so that i can start my Digital Scrapbooking dream. I went out to dinner with two of my lovely sisters and their hubbys - Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious! Paige and Annie made me a paper airplane with sweet things written on it and they threw it at me to give it to me. It made me laugh so hard and then Zander smacked me because I was laughing. He doesn't like people to laugh - thinks their laughing at him. All in all it was a wonderful day .

*I love to sew and do it nearly every day.
*Run a little business with my Sis-in-law the other Jen Holyoak - we make decked out scrubcaps for hospitals near and far.
