That Ain't Right!!!!

Ok, so having a baby is a very humbling experience and back when I gave birth to my first child I realized that my dignity was something I would have to give up. All you mommies know what I'm talking about - I have a girl OB for a reason you know!!!

Anyhow, this is the story of one little boy who is now the big brother at our house. I was sitting on the couch , a place I frequently find myself now that I have a very hungry nursing baby boy! Well, anyhow I hear Anna coming down the hallway , Yelling , " MOMMY , look what Zander was drinking out of"! I didn't have to look, I knew. I had the feeling earlier that week that I SHOULD NOT keep "the squirt bottle" out on my bathroom counter top but that i should put it up high so that Zander didn't mistake it for a water bottle! OH but no i didn't not listen and now hear comes Anna just a screaming and by this point I'm crying! HEy I'm a bit emotional and this just disgusted me to no end. You all know what "the squirt bottle" is !

Ok, as if that wasn't enough pretty soon out wanders Zander from the bathroom and his hair looks really really really wet. ONLY IT's NOT! It's Lansinoh Breast Creme which is the greasiest grease you can imagine. He decided that he would make himself "handsome" -his words - not mine! Jared gave him a bath and when he got out I then put him back in the bath and washed his hair again , only this time with Dawn , afterall, it does take grease out of your way! That worked thankfully!!!

Ok, as if that wasn't all I could handle for one day from one busy little boy! After his bath Zander comes to sit by me on the couch and Yup you guessed it, I'm feeding the big boy Gavin! Zander catches a very brief glimpse of Gavin's "bottle" not a bottle and yells out "Ewe YUCK!!"

Like I said "dignity gone" none , nada, nothing! Bless your little heart my son, bless your heart! I'm sure in the days to come I will be able to add to this list !

Did I mention that I would gladly give all my dignity away for these little moments because I LOVE BEING A MOTHER!!! I love every word that comes out of their mouths and every smile on their faces as they hold and kiss and just stare in utter amazement at their new little brother. I wish these moments could last forever but then I would miss all those other moments !

Blog, Blog, Bloggety Blog Blog blah blah blah!!

I found this information over at our friend Marne Clark's blog! Very useful eeeh! Thought some of you might enjoy knowing some of this!

Did you know you can schedule a post? Yep! You know how sometimes you start a post but don't finish it, but in the meantime do other posts...and when you go back to the one you started it posts it at the original time you started it, not when you finish it. Well...here is how you can decide what day and time you want your post showing up! When you are typing a post look at the bottom, left hand corner and you will see a little link to click on that says "post options." When you click on it, it opens up a place for you to enter the date and time you want a post posted on your blog. I love this feature! I wish I would have found it sooner. If I have a lot of information I want to post, I can get it all done in one whack....but still have one post come up a day if I want. It saves me lots of time at the computer.

You can turn off reader comments on a particular post if you want too. COOL! There might be times you just want to vent, voice an opinion and not really want to hear what others have to say. Since my blog is private I don't really care but if you have a public blog this feature might be nice. Click on "post options" again in the bottom left corner and you will see where to turn off the reader comments.

You can add a customized message for people to see when they leave comments. Under settings, click on comments. The scroll down to where it says Comment Form Message. Type what you want to say in the box. It's that easy.

You can send yourself (or anyone) comments to your blog through your email. I love this feature too. Then I can reply to a particular person if I want to about their comment without posting on my blog. Under settings, click on comments again. It is at the bottom of the page where it says Comment Notification Email. You can enter up to 10 email address. This is a great feature for group authors on a blog.

More of our Little "Big" Boy

I think he looks alot like Anna did when she was born and all the nurses at the hospital were pretty sure that we cloned daddy! He is so soft and smells so good - good enough to eat and we lOve him MUCHO MUCHO MUCHO!!!!

Oh and look way down at the bottom of the page and see a picture of big brother Zander when he was 3 days old! I think they look alot alike ! HOW BOUT YOU!!!
