So it seems as though some hodlums were passing through our neighborhood at about 2 this morning. They came across a very large rock and decided that our innocent little house looked like a great target. This is when Jared and I were awakened by breaking glass. We both sat up out of a dead sleep and ran to different areas of the house to see what had happened. They had thrown the rock into Zander and Gavin's window. As you can see from the pictures the glass landed on Zanders pillow and all over his bed really. I believe whole heartedly in the tender mercies of the Lord and know that at this time prayers of safety for our children were answered because Zander couldn't have been curled up any closer to the wall and none of the glass hit him. I am sad that there are people who don't think about the reality of the things that they do and that they could have seriously injured both of my boys. I cried to the police officer when he arrived to get a statement. He wanted to know Zander's age and if anybody might be out to get us or him. We of course said No and then told him the ages of our children. My good husband stayed up the better part of the night boarding up the window and laying on the couch worrying about the incident. I cried in my bed while I looked at my sleeping boys who were safe.
I know that living the gospel gives added protection and that Angels can watch over your house just as they do the temples. I am grateful for things like this that can really add awareness to how much the hand of the Lord is in our lives.
Love bunches

What a beautiful testimony, as always. You're a wonderful woman, Jen. I'm so sorry this horrible thing happened - how scary! But it's great to know you can still see the tender mercies of the Lord.
dear jen I cryed when I read what happened. But the boys are fine and thats what matters.
Wow, what an incredible story. I'm really glad that everyone was okay! Are homes really are protected when we have the Spirit with us.
No no no! I am so sorry and so thankful that everyone is okay. I am afraid the world we live in is becoming more and removed from the idea of choice equals consequence. We love you guys and pray for your continued safety.
Oh Jen, How scary. How very scary. It is sad to hear that innocent people are vandelized and that there are careless people out there doing random violent acts. I am so grateful that neither of you children were hurt. And those people who did this should be grateful too. Serious consequences can arise from such foolish acts. Come on people, think a little bit before you act so stupid. Thank goodness your boys were protected. Love you guys.
That is so upsetting. I am crying right now. I'm so glad they are all safe. Vandalism ticks me off!

I have lots to say and most of it isnt nice cause ya got me mad. Uber mad. I will just add a amen to what Kelly said because it was thoughtful and positive. You need a guard dog.
Jen I'm so sorry. That was a rotten thing that could've been a lot worse. I'm glad you are all unharmed (so much for that innocent window pane). Makes you wish for some cheap, effective surveillance huh? oooh, after that fire I wanted to fire proof, smoke-detector the heck outta this place! Tempered glass and anti-social dobermans in your yard next time....
Oh, I am so sorry. That just saddens me that you had to go through that. What a scary night. You are so wonderful to see the blessings. What a good example you are to all of us.
