A Long, Long Winter

Ya know I feel like this has been the longest winter I have ever experienced. We have been sick at our house the entire winter. I really am not exaggerating either. We have had the flu, cold after nasty hacking cold with coughs that linger on for weeks on end . We have had strep throat (me included in this one), broncilitis, several ear infections and the baby has had RSV two times. Yesterday I was thinking Wow we are finally all well enough to go to church together. We haven't gone to church all together for several Sundays. I woke to another LONG LONG winter day. The hubby was super sick with a very nasty cold . Most people start getting a cold a little sniffle or sore throat at a time but not Jared , he could be fine and dandy when he goes to bed and then when morning hits he is sick as a dog. Anyhow, he wasn't the only one - Zander was coughing is little heart out and about an hour after I came home from church with the girls and Gavin , my poor little baby (who is just now getting over RSV) threw up all over me. He proceeded to throw up every bottle we gave him for the rest of the day . Luckily and with a few prayers of my own ,we gave him one last bottle before bed and he is asleep and holding it down now for about 3 hours. Sorry , not to go on and on but I'm just feeling tired and overwhelmed and like I haven't gotten a thing done this whole winter. However, I do realize that my number one job is to be the Mommy around here and I have definitely done that.

So here's to Spring and healthy kids!
Oh , the above photo is baby Goo having a breathing treatment for RSV. Bless his little heart.

That is a bummer. It is so hard when family is sick. We have gone our rounds here too. Luckily we weren't everyone one at once. It was usually Matt and Keegan and then I would follow about 3 weeks later. I hope that you can get some rest and the family gets better soon. Love ya, H

Oh poor Goo. :(

A whole sick family for a winter, how yuck! Who takes care of Jeffer???

I hope warmer weather brings you healthier kids. I'm sorry Jen. Have you considered moving south? I hear that colds are far and few between. ;)

Right now she is quite literally helping herself to food from the garbage can!!! GEESH!!! I still think you've gotten the worst of it.I hope the sun will shine down on Pepperwood

I am so sorry to hear that. Capri (my baby) is sick right now so I can feel for you, but just kind of, because other than this we have stayed pretty healthy. I'm sure you are a great nurse mom!
