Zander's Birthday Post - post birthday

I know I'm a bit late since my Zandy-mans 5th birthday was on March 22nd. I've got to get this documented because later this week I have another very special birthday to share with you.

By the way, mark your calendars for Father's Day weekend to baptize Anna!

Ok, this boy is such a delight. He is obedient and loving & just full of good. We love him mucho much!

We had a fun birthday for him & I made him at his request Candy Cake & Candy Icecream.

I tried to make the candy cake have a theme to it. It was a forest Lake with bears floating in innertubes. It was loaded with candy. Then we had a bunch more candy to top the icecream anyway you like. He begged me for that watering can so that he could help me with my flowers.

Son, I LOVE you!

We cleaned our shed last weekend - as you all know from my last Sunday
Snapshot post. WEll, I have found many a treasure that I will be sharing here
on this ole blog of mine.
Many of you will be embarrassed.
To start here is a poem

HOME SWEET HOME
Where's poopy diapers, annoying "Put together yourself" cribs, toys round every corner, and bruised legs from falling down the stairs cause baby was in the way?
BABY SWEET BABY
Where's doorbells ringing every second (more kids are coming to play with your child), giant stuffed animals every where you look, candy rappers taking over the rooms, and cookies are being cooking before someone starts crying?
CHILD SWEET CHILD
Where's tapes and pictures stuffing your closets full of first steps, words, sentences, and smiles. Toilets start being flushed by the little ones, first time alone, vacations are more often, having pets?
GROWING SWEET GROWING
Where's report cards (with good grades), black eyes, wispering dares, innocent faces, backs turned, smiles turning to scouls, more dates then ever, millions of dollars being spent on hairspray, and long and boring days?
TEENAGER SWEET TEENAGER
Where's hand prints geting higher and higher till there is no more, expensive suits, big important meetings, fiance's, wedding rings, cars that aren't for the parents, hard to decide questions (if you know what I mean) weddings to attend, and house and apartments for newly weds.
ADULT SWEET ADULT
Where's beautiful babys with round sweet faces, children with first and new responsibilites, teenagers that aren't so bad, and adults who are responsible for their own familys to take care of?
HOME SWEET HOME
