1. What is your holiday wish for your family?
   I really just want everyone to be healthy - already!


2. What is your Christmas morning / Hanukkah Nightly tradition?

Oh Christmas morning we all gather together and before even going in where the tree is we sit together and talk about what we are grateful for.  A tradition my parents started when I was little - I'm so grateful for their example.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?

Erase my debt Santa dear! 

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?

Just bringing the true meaning of Christmas into our hearts and home.  Sharing the story of Christ's birth with our children and with those we love. 

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?

Monopoly, Uno, Sorry, Mario bros, Farming Game,  Masterpiece! WE had so much fun !

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
The Christmas morning tradition I mentioned above. 


7. Where would you go for a Christmas/Hanukkah-away-from-home trip?

I would love to rent a cabin in the woods with all my family and have Christmas together.  I would be so much fun and so crazy with all those kiddos runnin around.  Christmas is best spent with your family.

A Little Getaway

So, Our good friends the Higginson's invited us to their cabin in Banks, Idaho.

Turns out that their cabin is merely feet from the very top of the mountain. Here's the view on the way down.

The cabin didn't have electricity nor a bathroom.

Here we have Dave reading to our kids by Head Lamp. Love it!
This picture is priceless. Priceless I tell ya!! Any guesses what my boy has in his hand. Yes, that would be a cow pie! Seconds after the photo was taken he marched right up to Dave and threw said Cow Pie at him. Look at his eyes!

There was plenty of hiking and exploring.

Moose Mouse club would have loved this location.

Who needs snow when you have a nice steep dirt hill & perfectly good sleds.

Just had to take a picture of the outhouse! The ladies of the family thought it needed

some fun paintings on it to spruce it up a bit.

We had plenty of fun playin in the dirt.

The cabin was super cozy and had tons of cozy beds to sleep in. The wood burning stove

kept it warm and we even cooked on it.

Jared & I grilled up some Felicia Turkey burgers for them and let's just say that I'm

pretty sure that sealed the deal on getting invited back.
