I'm Your Mom

Have you ever just looked at your child or a picture of them and got a huge lump in your throat and just said to yourself -"I'm Your Mom" "I'm YOUR Mom". How'd I get so blessed ? No Really!

Love you,

Mommy

In My Daughters Eyes

It was a rough night last night. I was up till 3 with Mr. Goo & then various times after that. I decided at about 10 a.m. (no we didn't go to church - sick hubby , sick Annie, sick goo) anyhow I decided to take a nap at 10 and just as I lay down Miss Paigey comes in to my room and sits on my bed with her Gospel in Action book and says to me, "Mom what should I do in here, help me pick." We had decided earlier that since we didn't make it to church we would do something churchy (if you will) . We looked through it and we decided that she was going to write down the attributes of a person and circle the one that she would really like to work on and have it be one of her own attributes. Off she went closing my door behind her. When I woke up the above picture is what i found on her door. Incase you can't read it it says at the top MOM and she has circled patience for her attribute that she wants to have. Can you read it? In my daughters eyes I am patient, nice, happy, good, smiles, beautiful, smart, kind, great, & caring. As you can imagine this list made me smile and it made me think that love is blind as well. Have you heard the song by Martina McBride "In My daughters Eyes", well it's the reason I titled this blog .
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero I am strong and wise and I know no fear.
But the truth is plain to see she was sent to rescue me.
I see who I wanna be in my daughter's eyes.
In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe In my daughter's eyes
And when she wraps her hand around my finger Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer I realize what life is all about
It's hangin' on when your heart has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light It's in my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes I can see the future A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy she made me
For I'll be there in my daughter's eyes.
Like I've said before I'm just the mom cuz I got here first.
I love you Miss Paige - I hate that you are growing up so fast - 10 years old in just 14 days but I love who you are turning out to be and I know that you are making your Father In Heaven so happy, so very happy.

People Watcher

I come from a line of people watchers - My Mom is a people watcher - my sister Terri is a people watcher. I am a people watcher. I love to watch people and often find myself staring at people. This morning on my way home from dropping off my beautiful girls at school I saw the boy. This boy is the same boy that I have seen everyday this school year . I see him before school and after school . This boy looks to be high school age or maybe barely out of high school. Every day I see him walking with two little girls towards Summerwind Elementary or coming from and each day without fail he wears a huge smile and sometimes he is visibly laughing and he is always holding both of the little girls hands. I don't know why I am so taken with this young man but he impresses me. It is probably the fact that alot of boys his age would rather sleep in, would rather not go out in the cold - would rather do anything than be nice to their little sisters. I like you young man - you have impressed a complete stranger and you weren't even trying -you were just doin your thang - I LOVE THAT! I have not lost faith in mankind - I believe that there is alot of good people in the world - really good people.

Love you !
Jen
